Nine Of The Coolest Fidgets Out There For Your Dream Office.
Listen, I’m not gonna lie. One of the coolest things about opening a private practice is getting to set up your own office. The one you’ve dreamed about all these years.
We’re closing in on the holiday season, so just for fun I’m linking you up with some of the coolest fidgets out there for you to stock your office. Ya, these are for your clients, but you know you like to play too!
Here we go. The ultimate cool fidget list!
Cool Fidget #1. The Anti-Anxiety Fidget Spinner. You can find it on Amazon and right now it’s on sale for $17! You have to check this thing out. According to the Amazon description,”The ways of fidgeting with this fidget spinner are endless. You can flick it, let it drop and spin, balance horizontal while small movements make large unpredictable results, generate endless spins by perpetual motion, spin 1 or both arms and many more.” Plus, it’s quiet. If you’ve used fidget spinners in your office, you know the noise can actually irritate clients with sensory issues. So that’s a huge plus in my book. Check it out here.
Cool Fidget #2. The SPOLEY desk sculpture. Also on Amazon (I mean, what’s not?). You know how this one works, those magnet balls that you can shape and reshape into different sculptures. I’d think twice about this one if you are working with little kids who might be tempted to put those balls in their mouth or ears, but other than that, I would be all over this if I was a client. Cool Fidget #3. Squeezable Smileys. You guessed it my friend, on Amazon. These are essentially stress balls, but super cute right?! I love these. They are also designed to hold cell phones, so hey, double duty. Check ’em out here.
Cool Fidget #4. Tangle Relax Therapy. Yep, Amazon. Here’s the way they describe it, “It features a hard interior with rubberized, textured outside, perfect for handling and occupying your mind. The twisting and turning action has a calming effect that can help you work through your panic attack easily.” Personally, I don’t think this is the cutest thing ever, but I feel like this just might be a hit with fidgety clients and I think kids would love this one. Cool Fidget #5. Squeeze-a-bean. OK, one more from Amazon. I love this little thing! It’s ‘awwwwwww’ inspiring cute and for those of us who are inclined to fidget, I’m feeling this one. Pretty simple concept, you just squeeze the bean out of the pod. Over and over to your fidgety heart’s content. They actually come in a 3-pack, so more fun for you. Check ’em out here.
Cool Fidget #6. The ICOSA fidget ball. Just like it looks and sounds. You can twist and turn it into all kinds of patterns. I like the look – it’s also nice and compact. NOT on Amazon! It’s at Kohl’s instead. Check it out here.
Cool Fidget #7. The Playable art ball. OK honestly this is basically the same thing as the ICOSA ball above, but I just like the look of this one more. It’s on The Grommet website and it’s pricier – $30 vs $18 for the ICOSA, but hey, it’s your dream office and your space, so if you like it better, spend that extra $12 I say! Check it out here.
Cool Fidget #8. Colored putty. Also from The Grommet. Every office needs this stuff! It’s like silly putty for the modern age and it’s a huge hit with clients. This one comes in a variety of colors (you can even buy a 3 pack if you so choose). Get you some! Check it out here.
And finally. Cool Fidget #9. Therapy Dough. Also from The Grommet. This is the grown up version of silly putty. An elegant playable putty that comes in a variety of soft colors and soothing scents. It’s a bit on the pricey side for putty – $25. I’ve had it in my office before and it was a big hit, but honestly, didn’t last as long I would have liked (it started to get crumbly after a bit of time). Also, heads up, it is scented, so that may be an issue for folks with sensory issues. But still, it’s a nice splurge if you’re in the mood. Check it out here.
